First Point S opens in Singapore

Point S sign on Singapore in Asia’s push and opens first branded location


Point S continues its successful penetration into Asia with the signing of the city state of Singapore, and today launches its first store in the region of Sin Ming Industrial Estate.

“Our Point S partner in Singapore- BCC Automotive, is an experienced automotive repair workshop chain, with more than 45 years’ experience in the repair of European and Japanese car makes. Our cooperation will mean consumers in Singapore now have a network of stores which can cater to their tyre needs, and all automotive repair and servicing with a single visit”, says Fabien Bouquet, international CEO of Point S.

BCC Automotive currently operates three automotive repair stores in Singapore, with two more to be opened by 1st December 2019. BCC has extensive experience dating back from the 1970s, where they started as a workshop within a petrol station. With its soon to be five stores ideally located throughout Singapore and ambition for at least another 25 franchisees over the next few years, consumer’s total automotive car care needs will be very well catered to.

“Point S strong affiliation in tyres, coupled with our experience in car repair, will be a perfect match for consumers of today, who expect to have all their automotive needs taken care of in a single visit. We expect to be very competitive in tyres, oil change, brake, suspension, air-conditioning, batteries, and other quick services. All major or sophisticated repairs will be channelled to our headquarters @ Sin Ming” says Mr. Francis Lim, Managing Director of BCC Automotive.

Point S in Singapore will soon see all 5 stores within BCC automotive being converted to Point S signature blue, white and green. The plan as explained by Francis, is an aggressive recruitment of at least 10 more franchisees, either with tyre background or automotive repair background – to form an established network of stores catering to the needs of car owners in Singapore.

Mr. Ler Hwee Tiong, Point S Asia’s chief representative said, “We have one singular objective when it comes to South East Asia, to create a 200 stores network within the next 5 years. As for Singapore, Point S aims to be the largest retailing network, and this would mean creating a network of at least 30 stores.”

Point S has also recently created a JV company in China to implement the Point S concept. The goal of the company is to create a network of over 2000 locations in the 5 coming years.
