Point S Opens office in Singapore, appoints Ler HWEE TIONG Chief Representative

Leading Independent retailing group Point S in global expansion mode opens office in Singapore, and appoints tyre veteran Ler Hwee Tiong as chief representative.

Today marked the official opening of Point S ambitious drive to be a truly global retailing group, with the opening of Point S Asia, a Representative office in Singapore. Located within the French Chamber of Commerce in the city centre of Singapore, the office will serve well to facilitate the coordination of activities within the Asian region.

The appointment of tyre industry veteran, Ler Hwee Tiong (commonly referred to as Ler), as Chief Representative of Point S office, signify another important move in this ambitious drive to be a global retailing group.

Ler, with more than 21 years in the tyre industry, held various key and executive roles in several large tyre companies, before venturing out in 2008 co-founding Asia’s first tyre ecommerce site, Tyrepac.
With this appointment, Ler will consult and coordinate all of Point S activities in the Asia region, and assist in the further expansion of Point S beyond the recently announced Malaysia and India market.
