Point S heads to Bologna Fiere for Autopromotec 2022

  • Point S has confirmed that it will exhibit at booth C40 at the 2022 edition of Autopromotec, from 25th to 28th May 2022
  • The biennial event will give visitors the opportunity to discuss the benefits of joining the global Point S network with Point S’ Italian team
  • The company will also celebrate the history of the tyre trade with a museum dedicated to tyre dealers

Point S, the world’s leading independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network, has announced that it will exhibit at Autopromotec 2022, at Bologna Fiere from 25th to 28th May.

Visitors to booth C40 in Hall 20 will be able to discuss the benefits of joining the global Point S family and becoming a member of the Point S network of independent workshops with the Point S Italia team.

Fabien Bouquet, CEO of the international group and President of Point S Italia, said, “We are looking forward to exhibiting at Autopromotec. Throughout the four day exhibition at Autopromotec, Point S will be celebrating the history of the tyre trade by way of an exhibition that promises to tell the story of the profession over the past 100 years.

Among the installations in Hall 20 will be Point S’ ‘Museum of the Profession’ – a photo gallery of historical images of old equipment and other memorabilia. Starting from the 1920s, the gallery charts 100 years of life in the tyre trade through the evolution of styles, trends and technology.

Two additional sections of the gallery will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Point S itself, with visitors being taken on a chronological journey through photos, objects and videos that capture the essence of the network and its evolution.

Adding yet more nostalgia to the exhibition, Point S will also set up a replica 1970s tyre shop, complete with original that period equipment.

The Point S brand has been present in the Italian market since the 1970s, when the first small group of independent workshops joined the network. Today, the network boasts 180 affiliated workshops in Italy. Much of the recent growth can be attributed to a new corporate structure, with Point S Italia, a subsidiary of the international parent company, taking over management of the Italian network in 2015.
