Point S, the world’s leading independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network, has announced its sponsorship of Citroën Racing at the Formula E Shanghai E-Prix, taking place on 4th-5th July 2026.
The sponsorship forms part of Point S’s broader strategic relationship with Stellantis, one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers and providers of innovative mobility solutions. The collaboration reflects both organisations’ shared commitment to innovation, sustainable mobility, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Under the agreement, Point S will support Citroën Racing during the Shanghai race weekend, one of the standout events on the Formula E calendar. The sponsorship further consolidates the relationship between the network and Stellantis, while providing a platform to increase brand awareness in one of the network’s most important international markets.
Formula E first arrived in China in 2014 with its inaugural race in Beijing, marking a historic moment for the all-electric championship. Since then, the series has raced in four Chinese cities, including Hong Kong and Shanghai. Today, the Shanghai E-Prix is regarded as one of the most popular events on the Formula E calendar, attracting significant local and international interest.
Through its sponsorship of Citroën Racing, Point S will strengthen its visibility in one of its most important growth markets. The network currently operates approximately 3’700 points of sale across China and has an expanding presence throughout neighbouring Asian markets. The partnership provides a powerful platform to engage with independent tyre dealers, independent garages, and consumers through one of the most innovative and technologically advanced forms of motorsport.
The sponsorship builds on Point S’s growing involvement in elite sport and motorsport, as well as its relationship with Stellantis, with the network currently sponsoring Stellantis Motorsport’s Team Peugeot TotalEnergies in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). It also highlights the close alignment between the network’s values and Formula E’s focus on pioneering technology and sustainable mobility.
Fabien Bouquet, CEO of Point S International, said: “This sponsorship of Citroën Racing in Formula E represents our involvement in the maintenance of electric vehicles as well as an opportunity to connect with customers & partners across China and Asia”.
“Formula E is at the forefront of innovation in motorsport and mobility, making it an ideal platform for Point S. With around 3,700 points of sale across China, we see significant opportunities to build awareness of our brand in this strategically important market while supporting one of motorsport’s most exciting racing teams.”
Cyril Blais, Citroën Racing Formula E Team Principal said: “We are delighted to welcome Point S alongside the team for the Shanghai E-Prix. Formula E provides a unique platform to showcase innovation, performance and the future of mobility, values that strongly align with both Citroën Racing and Point S. Shanghai is one of the championship’s most significant events and we look forward to representing our partner throughout the weekend while continuing our fight on track.”
